I started Gary’s Gamer Podcast in July 2010. It all started off with a simple blog called Gary’s Gamer Blog which is still running today and is updated each time along with this website. Once the blog really took off I decided I wanted to go a step further but didn’t really know how. Then I discovered this amazing thing called Podcasting! after a few days of research and basic equipment gathering, I launched Gary’s Gamer Podcast and recorded my first episode which was around 5 minutes long. Then the podcast went on and got a lot of publicity on the internet but one day my original podcast host mypodcast.com shut down and I had no where else to go apart from Podbean but they only give you 100MB of storage which kind of limited me so I stopped doing the podcast for a long time but a few days ago, I listened to one of my podcast episodes and decided to start again, I now use archive.org to store all of my episodes and podomatic to get the episodes onto Itunes, hopefully eventually I will be able to self host this website and the podcast which gives me more storage space and the ability to use plugins!
